I will be there to photograph your day, but never to take it over.  Sometimes I will be up close, and sometimes you won't even notice me. But no matter what, I will always think about you and your guests and ensure everyone is having a great day!  

If you’re reading this and found my work appealing, it’s a great start. Choosing a photographer with a style you like is essential so you can feel comfortable on your wedding day, knowing they will create photos you love. I don’t follow trends that come and go (eww). I’ve developed my style over many years and feel like it stands the test of time. The image above is from a wedding in 2020, and I would edit it the same today. 

I can't stop talking about photography, so much so that I even talk on a photography podcast twice a week. I am always pushing myself to become better, with new gear, techniques, and locations. I’m not just doing this as a job. I don't have a typical routine for every wedding; every single wedding is an opportunity for me to create something great, new, and memorable for my couples.

I’m not into posing couples in awkward positions to get traditional wedding portraits. I get memorable shots at your wedding by having fun, walking, talking, laughing and smiling with you.  Of course, I will nail the family shots and put you in places with great backgrounds and amazing light, but I definitely promise no unnatural posing!

I’m not scared of the rain, nor are my cameras. If your day happens to be wet, I will make the most of it and still get great shots. My equipment is weather-sealed and has been around water, mud, dirt, and dust, so a little rain won't stop it. Actually, quite a few of my favourite images were taken on rainy days!

I have two main professional mirrorless camera bodies.  Both bodies shoot to two cards simultaneously, so I have two copies of every image as soon as they are captured.  When I return to the office, I back up to multiple hard drives plus a RAID array (super nerdy!!). I understand how important your wedding photos are, and I do everything I can to protect them.  If you book the 'Justin and Jim' package, you even have a backup wedding photographer. If one of us goes down on the dancefloor, the other will kick him out of the way and keep shooting! 

I completely understand how much weddings cost, so I have put my packages together to provide the best coverage possible for a reasonable price. You can't go back in time and get more photos of your wedding day, so getting great images is the first priority. You can always order albums and wall art down the track, maybe even for your first anniversary.

I have invested a lot of time and money in putting together a great wedding photography kit. Amazing photographs have been taken on cheap cameras, even iPhones. But when you invest money in a wedding photographer, they should have really good gear. I shoot with the latest Nikon cameras, along with high-end lenses and off-camera lighting. Your images will be super sharp and full of colour (except for the black-and-white ones!)
